Sunrise at Shenandoah
Let me tell y'all, I had been looking forward to this session with Marie and Daniel for MONTHS. A sunrise session at Shenandoah National Park? Yes please!! We had planned for an early Saturday morning in the middle of October, which also happened to be the peak time for the fall foliage! My husband had decided to join me this early morning, so we both drove an hour into the park together to get to our location. It was windy, cold, drizzling, and dark on the ride up, so I was praying that the clouds wouldn't block the sunrise and that the rain would slow down!
We finally got to our spot where I met Marie and Daniel, and they were some of the sweetest people I have met! They brought their pup with them as well which I was SO excited for! The sun wasn't completely out when we got there, so we decided to wait a few more minutes in the heat of our warm cars before braving the wind and cold. After a few minutes, the clouds still weren't clearing up, but we headed out and started! The clouds gave us such a cool, moody vibe to our session when we started, and as the session went on, the clouds began to disperse revealing the warm, fall sunrise! The wind was also a paid actor, providing us with so much movement in Marie's adorable dress and her hair! These two were up for anything and everything, and it was so sweet getting to have their pup participate in the shoot!
The session was over before we knew it and the sweetest memories were captured! My husband and I drove back down through the park with the sun up and through the forest of the most beautiful colors! It was such a magical experience, and it was made with some of the best people! If you're thinking about getting your photos done at Shenandoah, I 10/10 recommend!
